The TV Listener transmitter converts sounds from your television or stereo into invisible infrared light waves. The headset receiver converts these light waves back onto sound. Unlike 900Mhz devices, infrared is not subject to interference from any radio frequency devices such as cordless phones, garage door openers, airports, or ham radios.
